Japanese anime based on light novels stays always on my all-time favorite watch list. If you have the same interest as me, then this article is solely for you.
Danmachi is the short name for ‘Is It Wrong to Try to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon?’ I know even the title sounds interesting, doesn’t it?
The anime adaptation was from a light novel of the same name. And the good news is Danmachi Season 2 has already premiered in 2019.
So, you don’t have to wait at the cliffhanger. Rather let me tell you everything you need to know before watching it.
What Happened in Season 1?
The plot of the story was founded on the fictional city of Orario. In this city, Gods from heaven came down to gather knowledge about the lowly creatures, the people of earth. They wanted to know the hardship, excitement, and drive people to feel throughout their whole life.
In order to do that they offered mortals to fight with the monsters in the underground place called Dungeon. A teenage boy named Bell Cranel went there to quench his thirst for adventure. But at the time of fighting when he was almost killed by a monster, Ais Wallenstein saved his life.
Bell fell in love with the swordswoman Ais but the Goddess Hestia, he used to follow and some other deities and mortals were also in love with him. However, Bell started to work really hard so that one day he could impress Ais.

Premise of Danmachi Season 2:
In Danmachi Season 2, you can get the feeling of playing video games. I am saying that because brave Bell tried to sharpen his skill in this season. Liliruca Arde and Welf Crozzo supported him with their demi-human superpower and blacksmith skills.
In every episode, Bell continued his journey as an adventurer. The people of Orario city gave him the title ‘Little Rookie’ as he kept climbing higher levels of the Dungeon by eliminating the monsters. He tried with all the willpower he had to uplift the glory of her goddess and the people he cared about.
However, the real problem begins when the other families and Goddesses noticed this wonder boy. Soon they tried to pull him to their gang so that he could fight for them. I will not tell you anymore because you have to watch the whole season and you will figure out everything by yourself.
How Many Seasons of Danmachi?
The first season of the Danmachi Anime television series animated by J.C. Staff premiered in 2015. In 2019, Season 2 and an original anime film were released after a year of announcement. Even though the Danmachi Season 3 was delayed for the pandemic, J.C. Staff successfully aired it in 2020.
